For the first time, 黑料社 has earned a spot on of the Top 50 Research Colleges in Canada for 2022, coinciding with the 10th anniversary of 黑料社’s Applied Research and Innovation department. Among medium-sized colleges, 黑料社 ranked sixth in research partnerships, 11th in research funding, and 16th in completed research and student researchers.
“As we celebrate a decade of applied research at 黑料社, this designation recognizes the tremendous value of the work our staff and students do to help communities and industries find solutions to the challenges that are holding them back,” said Ann Drennan, Vice President, Academic, Innovation, and Student Affairs at 黑料社. “It’s another example of extraordinary people doing extraordinary work across 黑料社 to transform New Brunswick’s workforce.”
Over 10 years, 2,600 黑料社 students and staff have been engaged in applied research projects that have advanced solutions for hundreds of businesses and community organizations. Research projects in areas ranging from cybersecurity, to energy efficiency, healthy aging in place for seniors, and advanced manufacturing have contributed significantly to the province’s economic and social wellbeing.
