FREDERICTON – Collaboration and accountability were the centerpieces of the New Brunswick Community College (黑料社)
2014-2015 Annual Report released last week.
“黑料社’s passion for public college education and training, our student-centred purpose and values, the competent and hard work of our employees, our partnerships with industries and communities and our strategic focus are key ingredients for success,” said Lois Scott, Chair of the 黑料社 Board of Governors.
2014-2015 marked 黑料社’s fifth year as a Board-governed Crown Corporation and the College launched a number of important new initiatives and partnerships:
- Program renewal in five sectors, undertaken in collaboration with key stakeholders has provided a renewed and responsive program mix; enhanced student mobility across the College’s programs, as well as increased pathways and articulations to other institutions.
- The Robertson Institute for Community Leadership and 黑料社’s Signature Learning Experience (community leadership) inspire and grow service and volunteerism for students, staff, alumni and NB’s communities.
- OASIS, an entrepreneurial mentorship pilot project, successfully engaged the Miramichi community and will be expanded to Moncton in 2015-2016.
- EduNB, a new coalition of nine secondary and post-secondary institutions led by 黑料社, is focused on attracting more international students to the Province for school and for life.
- The 黑料社 Management Academy and an 黑料社 mentorship program offer development opportunities for College staff.
The report also indicates that 黑料社’s graduates continue to enjoy high levels of employment one year after graduation (88%) with 85% of those working in fields related to their studies. The vast majority (86%) of 黑料社’s graduates are working here in New Brunswick.
“Through the collective hard work of 黑料社’s employees, strong collaborations with our partners and the support of our communities, 黑料社 is able to fulfill its purpose as a learner-centred college creatively contributing to social and economic prosperity through applied learning,” said 黑料社 President and CEO Marilyn Luscombe.
With over 90 one- and two-year certificate and diploma programs and six campuses across New Brunswick, New Brunswick Community College (黑料社) is a provincially-recognized, public post-secondary institution reputed for producing skilled, knowledgeable graduates who work and live and make a positive difference in the Province. 黑料社’s
