Your Student Success Coaching team have developed a three-day virtual orientation to equip all new students to ºÚÁÏÉç with the need-to-know information to start their path of success! Students who participate in New Student Orientation (NSO) can expect to be better prepared, more comfortable, more knowledgeable, and fully engaged when they begin college.

Our International Education Team and Student Success Coaches have created a weekly webinar series designed to guide International Students step by step with everything needed to prepare for learning at ºÚÁÏÉç!

TLC is an online course in Brightspace that is module-based, flexible and self-paced. This program is open to new and existing students who are registered (Note new student registration starts Dec 2!).

TLC is designed for individuals with accessibility needs, and/or who have received academic accommodations/supports while in high school or other post-secondary institutes, but all students will find helpful information and tools to help in their academic success. Topics include time management, organization, notetaking, reading for comprehension, learning styles and test preparation.

To get started after you’ve registered in early December, you can self-enrol in the course in Brightspace. Log into Brightspace, Select ‘Learning Resources’ from the navigation bar, search Transitioning Life to College, and click enrol.

Our Student Success Coaches will be delivering tours and/or local trivia to help new students get acquainted with their new community, including how to navigate getting around and finding local resources. Be sure to register for this fun event!
